Solidly grounded, well researched. Provides the information, the arguments, and the evidence to counter the deniers. Useful for *refuting* the arguments of online commenters and bloggers whose head is in the sand on this issue. (Note: I used the word "refute" rather than "rebut" because what it demonstrates the *invalidity* of the deniers claims, not just challenges them.)
It includes a helpful most used arguments section and a way of reporting which arguments you personally have found helpful in countering the deniers. Nice!
Three problems with the app, though:
1. NEEDS OVERHAUL. The app is generally well designed, but hasnt received a needed overhaul for several years. The broad categories are great, but open one and you are confronted with a massively long scrolling list of denier arguments. These fall naturally into their own categories, so there should be sub-groups (e.g. about Antarctica).
2. NEEDS SEARCH. There is no Search option, so its hard to find what youre looking for!
3. NEEDS UPDATING. It nicely provides recent news in a News section (even current to 2015), but much of the evidence and counter-argumentation in the main section is dated -- e.g., many deniers argue theres been NO temperature change from 2000-2015, but the information here is 1995-2009 and focused on Phil Jones and the Daily Mail! Other evidence deals with the 2009-2010 winter!!
We need the latest evidence!
These 3 concerns are important, especially updating the argument-evidence section, the mainstay of the app. Still, this is such a valuable and useful app, it deserves 4 stars.
